”Operation “David and Solomon’s Table

Six years ago, together with Shimon Sheleg and his family, we initiated “David and Solomon’s Table,” hosting it throughout the eight days of Hanukkah at the tomb of Mattathias the High Priest.

At the time, there were just ten people. Today, thousands attend every day (yes, literally thousands!) from all over the country and the world - children and their families. Some visit for a brief moment, while others stay for all eight days.

Imagine a group of people who pray non-stop for eight consecutive days, accompanied by musical instruments, 24/7 without interruption (except for the holy Sabbath, of course).

The amount of light radiating from this place is simply beyond imagination.

Every year, more and more groups come to participate, experience, and learn at this remarkable gathering. It truly is a great wonder to feel this unique atmosphere.

As in previous years, I ask you to help continue illuminating this space through your contributions, enabling us to keep “David and Solomon’s Table” open.

Thanks to your support, children enjoy sweet treats, youth, and pilgrims partake in festive meals throughout the eight days of Hanukkah.

(For those who understand: all the sparks of prayer from Rosh Hashanah ascend at this site during Hanukkah through eating and drinking.)

This year, we are aiming to raise 50,000 ILS to fulfill this mission.

This includes providing a tent for the site, setting up a kitchen for on-site cooking, opening another hospitality tent, bringing in portable restrooms, water, and much more - on top of food and drink for all attendees.
